The spirit of Brahms hovers over Ronen's first concert of the 2025-26 season, a program flanked by two of the German icon's chamber masterpieces: the first violin sonata, in an arrangement (by Indy's own Donna Wilson!) for flute and piano, and the so-called "Werther" piano quartet, a tragic piece rooted in the composer's youthful love for a married woman (any guesses?). The trio for oboe, horn and piano by Brahms's friend Heinrich von Herzogenberg, featuring Ronen co-artistic director Jennifer Christen, rounds out the evening. *Ticket model has changed to a 'name your price' format!
Ronen believes that our concerts are a valuable, high-quality arts experience that should be accessible to all. This season we are therefore implementing a “name your price” or “free will donation” ticket model for our performances. We will not charge a set fee to attend our performances. Instead, at the door, you will have the opportunity to select an amount that works for you.
Please keep in mind that each performance is a valuable experience. We believe that the typical cost of a ticket for comparable musical performances in the Indianapolis area would range from $30 to $50 per ticket. Our ticket price last season was $30 ($25 for advance purchase season subscription vouchers). We hope this approach to ticket pricing is well received by our patrons and succeeds in making our concerts more accessible.
