The 1950’s and 60’s were interesting times to grow up…. Leave it to Beaver, Cold War, the Beatles, and Vietnam. Protests in the street that felt like civilization was hanging in the balance.
Allan Soberman looks back at his formative years and the various musical influences from his Cantor Father and popular culture that informed his life path.
Allan’s story is brought to life through photo and video imagery, traditional liturgical melodies in new contemporary choral settings, and many of his heartfelt original songs.
This 90 minute multi-media performance explores nostalgia, family life, personal struggle.
