HANSSØN
Australian-born, New York-based pop singer Hanssøn makes music to soundtrack the witching hour. Her music can be mysterious and inspiring at the same time, and you might just find it teaches you things about yourself you never would have known.
Kisos
I never saw music as a job a regular person could pursue. I grew up playing flute in band, joined Gospel Choir in college, but dropped it all to settle into typical life after graduating. Eventually my grandma was like...WHY are you putting all your energy into a job that makes you cry from stress. WHY not try to figure out how to make a living through music? So I quit my job and moved from Fairfield, CA to NYC to pursue a dream I didn't even realize I had. In 2018 I released my DIY debut EP and it felt magical to have my songs out in the world. Despite all the doubts I knew I couldn't stop now. Since then I've been featured by Billboard, PAPER Magazine, Genius, Spotify editorial playlists and have raised over 11k for social justice orgs through my LGBTQ+ music video showcase QUEERANTINE on Twitch (twitch.tv/itskisos). Into 2021 I've released multiple collaborations with friends including "hate-fuck anthem " (DNA Magazine) with , the critically acclaimed, ritualistic, candlelit visual for heartbreaking guitar ballad , and started a podcast, OK GREAT! New single Bloodshot skips individual heartbreak and instead grapples with the trauma of the world. What happens to our spirit when we’re constantly in fight or flight mode? Live & performance vids out now, more coming!
