Seance & Ghost Stories at Merchistoun Hall, Horndean Arrive (from 7.30pm) over hot refreshment and sweets, with a small introduction of the evening (8.00pm). We then turn out the lights to conduct a big Seance in the very haunted and pitch black auditorium (8.15pm), with the chance to be invited on the stage to take part in paranormal experiments. After, Dale & Paul will be talking about all things Ghostly, as they share with you many experiences at various haunted locations in the country, over a complimentary glass of wine (red, white or rose) and nibbles.
With an lovely old, grade II listed house like this it would be disappointing if there wasn’t ghost stories attached to it! Indeed, there are many sightings from this beautiful old house and there are regular ghost tours.
Merchistoun Hall’s history dates back to the 1660s and was at one point, owned by Admiral Napier. The building is now owned by Horndean Community Association, and it was purchased in the 1950’s using funds donated by local residents.As far as ghost stories go there are many, but Admiral Napier himself is said to roam his bedroom; his dark figure with flaming red eyes staring at you. Apparently there is a grey hooded figure wandering the grounds as well. Many apparitions have been seen here in the past, with unexplainable phenomena which have made many refuse to step inside alone…

Dale Field has been investigating the paranormal for over 18 years, visiting many locations across the country hundreds and hundreds of times. As seen in the media, tv and radio. Dale also worked many times with his very good friend and late, Derek Acorah. Paul Stedman joined Dale 7 years ago, assisting him on many events. Paul, like Dale has a wealth of experience. The popular duo have a very unique approach to investigating where bringing in much positive energy and creativity; creates some incredible experiences!
