About this Event

Join us for a Sea Level Rise Boat Tour of the Elkhorn Slough!

Elkhorn Slough is a major estuary located near the community of Moss Landing, on the coast of the Monterey Bay. Elkhorn Slough provides invaluable habitat area for hundreds of aquatic bird, fish, marine mammal, and invertebrate species and is critical to regional biodiversity. Participants in this event will go on an electric pontoon boat tour of the slough accompanied by experts to learn about sea level rise impacts on transportation infrastructure and the importance of protecting and preserving the slough as climate change impacts this important ecological resource. Enjoy stunning views of the Elkhorn Slough while participating in an interactive discussion about adaptation efforts. Bring your binoculars and cameras and join us for a pleasant and educational excursion!

Please give yourself ample time to arrive at the Monterey Bay Eco Tours departure location.
