About this Event
Open to all levels of experience, this two session class is a great way to build or refine ceramic hand building and sculpting skills + learn some glazing basics. Using foundational principles, we will create hollow objects out of clay inspired by a bright and playful still life or an object of your choice! Go bananas and make as many as you like, while focusing on quality, surface and detail over quantity. During our second session we will focus on glazing and surface decoration.
All materials will be provided including clay, tools, aprons and underglaze. Pieces will be given a final clear glaze and fired before you pick up your work 3-4 weeks later.
Please note that the price and ticket for May 5th includes the May 12th class as well (2 classes for $110 total)
Clay Soup Studios is a small-class education project and functional ceramics brand run by interdisciplinary artist and educator, Jules D. Mills in Toronto, Canada.
