Ceramic sculpture is the art of manipulating clay to make something that appeals to your eye. During this inspiring course, students will explore several sculptural ceramic techniques including coil building, hard and soft slab construction, and extrusion. Students will focus on one project for the duration of the course, as ceramic sculpture requires more time and attention to detail. While this is a beginner level class and previous experience is not required, some basic knowledge of ceramics will be helpful.
Class size is limited to 8. MASKS are required, regardless of vaccination status.
Classes include materials, firing costs, and 2 hrs. weekly studio time designed to help students complete work between classes. (Additional studio time can be purchased for the reduced student rate of $8/hr.)
