About this Event
🌸 Sculptural Spring Blooms
A Paper Flower Workshop at Liberation Art Gallery

Step into colour, creativity, and renewal this spring.

Join us at Liberation Art Gallery for a beautifully curated, beginner-friendly workshop where you will create your own oversized sculptural paper bloom inspired by peonies, poppies, and ranunculus.

This is not a craft class, it’s an art experience.

Guided by gentle instruction, by resident artist Ruth Egon, you’ll explore how colour, light, and form can transform simple paper into a dramatic floral sculpture filled with movement and personality.

🌷 What You’ll Create

Over two creative hours, you will design and build one large statement bloom using professional techniques that bring paper to life.

You’ll learn:

• Petal shaping techniques — curling, stretching, and sculpting
• Layering for depth and dimension
• Colour blending with soft pastels or subtle paint washes
• How to build a striking centre and assemble your flower

You’ll leave with a finished sculptural bloom ready to display at home, a lasting symbol of spring and new beginnings.

🌼 The Experience

The workshop begins with a short creative introduction inspired by the theme of Rebirth & Colour Awakening.

You’ll choose a colour palette that reflects your mood, soft dawn tones, fresh meadow greens, or bold sunset hues before bringing your bloom to life.

We’ll close with a mini gallery moment, displaying everyone’s flowers together for photographs and celebration.
