Learn how to create durable sculptural objects using just steel (that’s the ferrous part) and cement (hence the name, ferrocement). You’ll get the basics of making an armature, mixing mortar, plastering, and surfacing. You’ll end up with a finished, weatherproof sculpture up to 2’ tall, plus the know-how that will open up whole new creative horizons!
Whether you’re a gardener/landscaper, mosaic artist, ceramist, designer-builder, sculptor, altar-maker, or just an overgrown kid who likes to play in the mud, this weekend-and-a-half workshop’s for you!
The cost is $425 (cash only, can be 2 payments), which covers most materials, tools, work stations, creativity counseling, and access to my extensive workshop. A $100 non-refundable down payment reserves your place (with a $75 discount if you've already taken the class or have done volunteer work on my previous projects).
