Space is Limited
The first dozen statues were deployed in August 2019.
There will be 24 life-sized concrete statues of men and women who have
served in the United States Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marines, and
Navy. The 6-foot-tall concrete statues have been placed in a circle
featuring a center monument with 5 bronze emblems representing each of
the U.S. Armed Forces. It's
a dive like no other - be sure to bring an underwater camera!
We will also stop at Veteran's Reef, also dedicated to veterans.
Veteran's reef is primarily (3) 100-foot steel-hulled barges and one
steel lash barge that were first deployed in 1999. 50 feet from the
center buoy, two plaques honoring veterans, and an American flag
attached to the center buoy. In the Veteran's Reef vicinity, you will
also find 300 tons of native Florida limestone boulders and concrete
modules (tetrahedrons and polygonals).
We have partnered with Lady Pirates Adventure’s yacht charters in
Hudson, Florida to bring you to some of the Gulf of Mexico's best dive
sites in style - on a 40 foot Hatteras Yacht named Ghost Galleon!
The yacht features custom-made dive benches, a spacious Salon with a
comfortable couch settee and booth seating out of the elements, a very
nice Head (fancy nautical word for bathroom), and plenty of snacks and
beverages to enjoy during the cruise. There is even a place to charge
your cell phone - no more dead phones at sea! Keep an eye out on the
water for dolphins, sea turtles, and manatees as we leave Hudson, part
of Florida's pristine Nature Coast!
Visibility is generally 25-30 feet, depending on weather conditions.
Please Note:
* We require a minimum of four people for these tours to operate. If
fewer than four people book, we will contact you to see if you would
like to pay for the additional spot(s), reschedule, or arrange a
refund.
* Price does not include any dive rental gear which may be rented separately.
* "Bubble Watchers" wanting to go along for the boat ride would be
charged the same rate as divers.
What to Bring:
* You are welcome to bring your own snacks and non-alcoholic beverages.
* There is afresh water deck hose that can be used to rinse off after your dives.
We recommend a swimsuit, UV-resistant shirt, swim shorts, and dive
boots. Flip flops and sandals are allowed, but at your own risk.
* Motion sickness medication if needed.
* Hat, sunglasses, & reef-safe sunscreen. Florida has some intense
rays, even on overcast days!
* Please bring cash to tip your dive crew at the end of your trip. The
industry standard is 15-20% of your total trip cost. The crew is
grateful to you!
What We Provide:
* Divemaster for all dives
* Non-alcoholic beverages: water, coffee, cappuccino, hot tea, and hot
chocolate. No alcohol allowed onboard.
