Intarsia is a technique where beautiful pictures are created in wood using different species and grain patterns for contrast. The cutting is done on a scroll saw and then each individual piece is shaped and sanded to create depth. In this hands-on class, each student will be creating an Intarsia project out of maple and walnut.Tools Required: Tools provided by the instructor include scroll saws & scroll saw blades. We recommend that you bring your own saw if you own one. Bring your own safety glasses & hearing protection.
