Script Reads: scene transition and character introduction in Sinners

SINNERS was the film of 2025. And it's become the second film to be awarded the Oscar for Best Screeplay.

For our March Script Reads we will be focusing on scene transitions and character introductions by reading and then discussing extracts from SINNERS.

This a space for people of Afro-Caribean descent. That is Black people and people with Black heritage.

Please arrive from 16:45 and no later than 17:20. 1 ticket per admission.

At Script Reads, we hate when you go to events and have to introduce yourself to everyone by summarising your CV, justifying why you belong in the space.

For Script Reads, your introduction will be your name, your pronouns, and your answer to the question, "what is the most memorable character introduction you've seen in a movie/TV show/animae/play?"

Bring yourself and something you can read the scripts on. Be prepared to read aloud.

Links to the script and any other materials used will be emailed to you the week of the session. They will also be available at the session via QR code.
