Script Read: The Trials of Robin Hood

Robin Hood: lusty hero, hopeless lover, or evil criminal? Upon his return from the Crusades, King Richard is forced to try and figure out what happened in his kingdom during his absence. Is the outlaw Robin Hood a hero, a lovelorn sap, or just plain mean? Told from the perspectives of Robin himself, Maid Marian and Prince John, this hilarious tale by Will Averill combines three different stories into one – and with three different endings, leaves it up to the audience to decide which one is true.
LCT’s Script Reads are a low-pressure way to connect with fellow theatre lovers, discover new plays and enjoy the fun of bringing characters to life, no memorization or audition required. Participants gather to read a selected script aloud, with roles assigned at the start of each session. Whether you’re a seasoned performer, curious newcomer or simply looking to get involved, all are welcome to join in. These are not auditions.
