A Public Fit Theatre Company (APF) conclude their 2025-2026 season with a script in hand reading of Lucy Prebble's "The Effect," directed by Nicole Unger.
“The Effect” by Lucy Prebble is an intimate, dynamic drama that follows Connie and Tristan, two volunteers in a clinical drug trial as they fall passionately in love. But are their deep feelings genuine? Or merely the result of the experimental chemicals coursing through their veins? As their romance deepens, the supervising physicians wrestle with the brittle ethical boundaries between the rigors of science and the unpredictable complexity of the human heart. “The Effect” will have you questioning what is real, both in mind and emotion.
Following the script in hand reading, APF artists will continue the conversation with The Buzzz, an interactive discussion between the production cast/crew and the audience.
Free and open to the public. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis and may be limited.
