In two days, you will learn how to develop compelling stories with rich characters.

You’ll learn fast, consistent, practical tools that work for any narrative story, including novels, feature films, TV shows, journalism, documentaries, and more.

What will we do in the workshop?

In two days, you'll LEARN a consistent, flexible framework that brings stories to life.

You will get:

• One-on-one support as you develop your story.Several rounds of personalized feedback.
• An experienced mentor guides you each step of the way.
• A well-developed short screenplay that you can produce.
• Techniques you will use for the rest of your life.

Note: If a script is strong, we may select it for production.

(The last two films produced were "Official Selections" and screened at prestigious film festivals!)

Requirements

A laptop computer or other device that allows you to write and rewrite the text.

Meet Your Mentor

Franco has discretely script-doctored for movies and writers you've heard of. He's directed award-winning music videos and commercials for clients like MySpace and GBX Shoes. He worked as an editor on Ed Harris's Academy Award-winning film "Pollack". He designed and animated one of Universal Television's first hit reality shows "Blind Date". As a writer/producer for FX Channel, he cowrote with 5 time Emmy Award-winning writer Sandy Frank. He enjoys judging film festivals, mentoring emerging filmmakers, and working quietly in the background to help people succeed.
