About this Event
As St. Louis celebrates the 60th anniversary of the Gateway Arch this fall, Nine PBS shares a story that is inseparable from the monument’s history – the activism of civil rights leader Percy Green.
Join us October 25 in Kiener Plaza as we present a free outdoor screening of Percy Green: Man of ACTION, a new documentary directed and produced by St. Louis filmmaker Joseph Puleo. The film explores Green’s decades of activism, from his daring 1964 climb up the Arch to protest racial discrimination to his ongoing fight for justice and equality today.
Please bring your own blankets and chairs. Coolers and food are permitted, and a few vendors will be selling food and drinks.
Percy Green: Man of ACTION is made possible in part by a generous gift made in memory of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore P. Deloge, Jr.and from the Betsy and Thomas O. Patterson Foundation.
