About this Event
As part of the third edition of the Princeton French Film Festival and the Princeton Environmental Film Festival, you're invited to the screening of Hvaldimir, Conversation with a Spy Whale (2023) by explorer and filmmaker Jérome Delafosse who will be in attendance for a Q&A with the audience.
Practical information:
Open to everyone and all age groups upon registration. In English and French with English subtitles, the screening will start at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 5th, 2025, and will last approximately 90 minutes. Doors open at 10:45 PM.
Synopsis:
In Spring 2019, a beluga whale named Hvaldimir, believed to have escaped a Russian military base, appeared in Northern Norway, becoming a social media phenomenon. Fascinated by him, a French cetacean researcher, his daughter, a Norwegian journalist, and a marine biologist embark on an extraordinary adventure with Hvaldimir through the Norwegian fjords.
