MUSEUMIST STUDIOS PRESENTS: SOUND IS MEDICINE
Museumist Studios is proud to present the latest installment of Sound Is Medicine—an immersive encounter at the intersection of sound, cinema, and resistance.
Set within the intimate atmosphere of The Aster Hollywood, the evening unfolds with a screening of Soundtrack to a Coup d’État, a powerful meditation on the collision of jazz, political power, and the struggle for liberation. Following the film, composer Rue Jacobs will deliver a live sonic response, channeling the language of composition, improvisation, and atmosphere into an original performance that echoes, challenges, and expands upon the film’s historical reverberations.
Through sound as both witness and weapon, we invite audiences into a space where history speaks, music remembers, and improvisation becomes an act of defiance.
An evening of deep listening, radical reflection, and sonic resistance—where sound becomes a language of liberation.
