Fifty years ago, director Norman Jewison set out to bring “Fiddler on the Roof” to the world, re-creating the lost world of Jewish life in Tsarist Russia and re-envisioning the beloved stage hit as a wide-screen epic. Narrated by Jeff Goldblum, “Fiddler’s Journey to the Big Screen” takes us behind the scenes of this monumental undertaking, capturing the humor and drama of the film New Yorker critic Pauline Kael called "the most powerful movie musical ever made.”
“Fiddler’s Journey to the Big Screen”
is showing at the Dairy Arts Center’s Boedecker Theater May 18-22, 2022
Talkback with Boulder Jewish Film Festival Founding Director Kathryn Bernheimer and Faye Nepon following the screening on Thursday, May 19 at 7 pm.
