The International Film Festival of Ottawa (IFFO) invites all screen-based industry professionals to attend IFFO’s Screen Summit 2025 on Friday, March 21, 2025, presented in partnership with Ontario Creates and the Canada Media Fund (CMF).
Screen Summit returns for its fourth edition, dedicated to strengthening and inspiring Ottawa's growing production sector by providing networking and skill development opportunities to anyone working or interested in working in the industry.
In collaboration with the Ottawa Film Office, IFFO presents two days of programming for local creatives from all Ottawa screen-based industries.

Screen Summit gives you access to industry professionals who make a living writing, producing, directing, and creating. Hear their stories, heed their advice, and make a few connections along the way.

This year's program includes:
➡️ Funding Foundations: How to Finance Your Creative Projects: A panel of industry experts will provide valuable insights into the diverse funding options available in the film industry and strategies for securing support before cameras start rolling.
➡️ Meet the Documentary Filmmakers: Seasoned documentary filmmakers share their journeys, insights, and behind-the-scenes stories from the world of independent filmmaking.
➡️ Introduction to the Directors Guild of Canada in Ontario: Representatives from the DGC discuss the benefits of joining DGC, pathways to membership, how to navigate working freelance and provide advice on how to get started.
