Scrapbook Session with Tim Quarshie
About this Event
Inspired by The Ensley Childhood Project currently on display at the Central Library, this hands-on workshop invites teenagers to transform a childhood photograph into a personal historical artifact.
Using scrapbook materials and guided prompts, attendees will explore the memories connected to their images while reflecting on the value of everyday history. The workshop will begin with a guided tour of The Ensley Childhood Project.
Participants are encouraged to bring a childhood photograph (physical or digital). Designed for junior high school and high school-aged students, this workshop will be hosted by curator Tim Quarshie.
This activity is made possible in part by a grant from the Alabama State Council on the Arts.
