If you love paper, layers, texture, and the satisfying sound of scissors slicing through cardstock, this night is for you. Scrap & Yap is equal parts creative expression and social therapy. Bring your journal, your paper stash, or start fresh with materials provided in studio as we build layered, textured junk journals and mixed media pages.This class is beginner friendly and open to all abilities. Whether you’ve never made a journal spread before or you’ve got bins of beautiful scraps waiting to be used, you’ll feel right at home.
We’ll explore:
Layering techniques for depth and visual interest
Composition basics so your pages feel balanced and intentional
Using found papers, vintage elements, and ephemera
Simple stitching and binding add ons
Creative storytelling through paper
There is no “right way” here. Just experimenting, gluing, layering, chatting, and letting your creativity unfold naturally.
