Scouting 101- July 19-23, 2021.Scouting 101 week at Camp Woodland is a great way to learn essential skills for
early rank advancement or just brush up on what you may have forgotten. It will
offer an opportunity to work on lashings and knife skills. You will learn campfire
etiquette, how to do a proper flag ceremony, and a scout’s own. Enjoy what Camp
Woodland has to offer at the waterfront, archery range, and on a simple compass
course. This week will keep you busy and get you out and about in the beauty of
Camp Woodland. There is an opportunity for scouts to complete/earn
requirements: Scout Rank 1c, 1f, 4a, 5 Tenderfoot 3a-3d, 4a-4c, 5b-5c, 7a,
8 Second Class 2b, 2c, 2f, 2g, 3a, 3c, 3d, 4, 5a-5d, 8a, 8b First class 3a-d, 4a, 5a-d,
6a, 6b-d, 6e Totin’ Chip, Firem'n Chit, and the Woodcarving or Indian Lore MB.
They will also begin and possibly complete the Paul Bunyan Award.
