Scouts can complete the Bear “Super Science” adventure and the “Out of This World” STEM module during one visit at Tellus Science Museum! This program includes investigations in the lab on static, buoyancy, and color, while a visit to the Collins Family My Big Backyard gallery gives the opportunity for hands-on experiences with heat and light. To fulfill the “Out of This World” requirements, Scouts will gather in the Tellus planetarium to watch A Trip Through Space, visit space exhibits in the Science in Motion Gallery, with a follow up lab experience on constellation identification.
This 2.5 hour program will consist of 5 rotations 30 minutes each.
Planetarium: “Trip Through Space” and discussion
Gallery Tours:
a. My Big Backyard: Greenhouse (light and color activities), thermal panels and weather tree.
b. Science in Motion: space exhibits.
Static Electricity lab.
Sink or Float, Color morphing and color layering lab.
Constellation lab.
* All programs require a minimum of 15 Scouts (total) to make.
* Space is limited.
* No late entries permitted.
* Subject to cancellation.
Registration for this program closes at noon on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 or when the program reaches maximum capacity.
