Scout Gillett's artistic journey is a testament to her unyielding passion for performance, rooted in her upbringing in Independence, Missouri. Raised in a family of creatives, she embraced a love for the homemade, which she seamlessly integrated into her music from a young age. Making the bold decision to pursue music full-time, she relocated to Brooklyn in 2017, immersing herself in the DIY scene and founding the band Shadow Year while also establishing Road Dog Booking, an independent agency supporting fellow musicians.
In April 2022, Gillett released her debut solo EP, "one to ten," drawing from her eclectic influences and love for collecting rare vinyl records. Following its success, she unveiled her debut full-length EP, "no roof no floor," characterized by its atmospheric soundscapes and introspective lyricism. Continuously pushing her artistry's boundaries, Gillett is working on her sophomore LP, promising a departure from her previous work while retaining her signature vocal style and songwriting prowess.
