Scott's Jazz Club's Have Yourself A Merry Little Jazzmas

The annual Scott's Jazz Club Christmas show returns over two nights! Join Scott Flanigan with the house trio of Rohan Armstrong and Andrew McCoubrey for the best in festive jazz, with special guests Dave Howell (saxophone), Kyron Bourke (vocals) and Kristine Mills (vocals) bringing some Christmas cheer.

Kyron Bourke prefers humbug to holly, and wishes the herald angels would stop harking. Born in Dublin and living in Belfast, Kyron Bourke is considered something of a town minstrel, an outsider telling tales in song of heartbreak, guilt and experience...all with a knowing grin.

Winner of the Houston Press Music Awards, Best Female Vocalist and Best Songwriter, American-born Mills was also nominated for Best Pop Artist, Best Jazz, and Musician of the Year. She was among the 2013 Houston Press Rocks of 100 - Houston’s Most Distinguished Artists and a 2012 Houston Arts Alliance for Established Individual Artists Grant Recipient. Mills wrote the soundtrack for the Gold REMI award-winning documentary film Collector’s Waltz. A member of the Recording Academy, Mills has been recognized for Grammy nomination consideration in several categories. Now living in Belfast, Mills has quickly become a fixture of the city's burgeoning jazz scene.

Recent career highlights for Dave Howell include playing live gigs with the likes of Van Morrison, Duke Special, Martine McCutcheon, Ray Quinn, Shane Ward and Brian Kennedy. Lead tenor player with 2002 UK National BBC Big Band Champions and veteran of some key corporate bands in Ireland like The Big Kahuna, Soul Truth, The Guinness Experience and Otis & The Elevators; Dave has recorded with artists within varied musical fields like R&B Stalwart Dave Lewis and Funk DJs Bell Crash & Digital Boogie.
