SCOTTISH KIMCHI WORKSHOP
About this Event
Join us for a Scottish Kimchi Workshop, where you'll discover how to make a unique version of this traditional fermented food using fresh, seasonal, and locally grown ingredients.
During the workshop, you will learn:
- How to ferment vegetables safely and easily.
- The basic theory you need to ferment with confidence.
- Why fermented foods are good for your health and wellbeing.
- How fermentation can help reduce food waste.
- How to create your own recipes using local and organic ingredients.
Each participant will prepare and take home their own 1-litre jar of Scottish Kimchi.
All the vegetables used during the workshop will come from New Leaf Co-op and Dig-In, two local shops that support sustainable and ethical food systems.
This is a practical, hands-on workshop, perfect for anyone curious about fermentation, natural foods, and traditional cooking.
