Scott Matthews
The WTRM team turn the ancient setting of St Peter and St Paul's church in Newport Pagnell into a stunningly lit, acoustic haven with a fully stocked bar.
Scott Matthews emerged from the Black Country twenty years ago, challenged the statusquo and quickly established himself as one of the most revered singer-songwriters of a generation with his mesmeric and inimitable debut album,Passing Stranger. The album that fearlessly pushed generic boundaries with a unique tapestry of folk, rock, blues and ethnic song-writing, earned Matthews some of the highest accolades in the music industry and the respect of fellow artists including Robert Plant, Foo Fighters, RufusWainwright and Radiohead’s Ed O’Brien, who described Scott’s music as ‘timeless...existing outside any genre...a beautiful thing’.

Support comes from Ernest Herb, the ecelctic local legend famed for his beautiful mix of blissed out tunes and his fantastic musical taste. Having played at the legendary Jazz Cafe, hosted a residency in Bristol and performed at altitude on the main stage of Meadows in the Mountains festival in Bulgaria, we are super happy that he’s agreed to come and do a DJ set for us to open what is destined to be a beautiful late summer’s evening of Music and Magic.

We put on these nights in honour of our dear friend Helen Parlor who we sadly lost, and who continues to inspire us to show up, to do more and to be more.
Supporting local artists and musicians is so integral to all we do at Where Two Rivers Meet.
We hope to see your beautiful faces there.
Where is it happening?
