About this Event
Scientists and clinicians at the University of Edinburgh and beyond invite you to join them to help form ScotIRD PPIE, a Scottish patient and public involvement and engagement group for inherited retinal disorders.
IRDs are the leading cause of visual loss in children and adults of working age and remain laregly untreatable. Identifying therapies, therefore, is a strategic priority for eye health, but the area reamins chronically underfunded.
This group will help to inform researchers about what the burning issues are for IRD patients and their families. This will in turn help shape their grant applications and research programs, to ensure they answer the questions that the IRD community feel most important.
