SCN+ 2025: Mamífera

This year’s edition of Spanish Cinema Now + presents a selection of four new films that reflect the breadth of styles and talents at work in Spain today, including both established auteurs and emerging filmmakers from the international festival scene. This series is the lead-up to the Spanish Cinema Now festival, coming up in June.

Lola’s unplanned pregnancy disrupts her life plans. She resists motherhood while Bruno wants to be a father, forcing her to confront her fears and societal expectations as she seeks clarity on her future.

How to get there:

The best way to arrive is by public transportation. The closest Metro station is Columbia Heights (Green line). Limited metered and two-hour zoned parking is available in the surrounding neighborhoods. Public parking garage is available at DC USA Shopping Mall (Columbia Heights Metro Station).
