What really happens inside the body when a diver ascends too quickly—and how does hyperbaric oxygen therapy save lives? Join Enoch Huang, MD, MPH&TM, FACEP, FUHM, FACCWS, Medical Director of the Hyperbaric Medicine and Chronic Wound Care Clinic at Legacy Emanuel Medical Center, for a deep dive into the science, physiology, and real-world practice of treating decompression illness.Dr. Huang is board certified in both Emergency Medicine and Undersea & Hyperbaric Medicine and has spent more than two decades at the forefront of diving medicine, hyperbaric research, and clinical innovation. His career spans service at major academic centers, leadership in the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society, and ongoing research on hyperbaric oxygen’s impact on wound healing, glucose monitoring technology, and even COVID-19 hypoxemia.
