The scientist is free, and must be free to ask any question, to doubt any assertion, to seek for any evidence, to correct any errors."Science is a term used to define the natural phenomena of our day-to-day lives through observation, experimental investigation, and theoretical expression. We may not perceive science in our lives the way we speak of it, but the way science shapes our very being is intricate and extraordinary. Every step we take forward is a flicker of our past. Our ancestors faced countless difficulties and traumas throughout their journey. They invented ways to adapt and overcome, whether by instinct or sheer effort, inherently leading to an evolved human being, a little bit closer to what we are today. And it is their very imagination that shapes our future to this day, the same way our imagination shapes the future. Our innate drive to understand the universe around us causes us to push further into the future as we chase knowledge. The same way Polaris shines on the northern sky, illuminating the cosmos, science shines an ambitious light of hope in our uncertain futures.

PROJECT DISPLAY
Welcome to the mesmerizing realm of "PROJECT DISPLAY"! Immerse yourself in an extraordinary showcase where creativity takes center stage and projects come to life. We guarantee you a qualitative, unbiased, and spirited project display where you can present your thoughts and ideas to all! We guarantee you a roller- coaster ride within these 3 days!
Allowed Academic Levels: Primary – Higher Secondary (class 3 – class 12) (Inter & Intra)
Event Type: Solo / Team; minimum 1 participant, maximum 3 participants.
Rules and Regulations
● Participants must bring Navy Blue tablecloth in order to display their project.
● Participants must bring their own materials for their project.
● Participants must bring their own tools and support for their project and must take heed no one else has to face problems for lending tools/ machines etc.
● Participants are allowed to bring laptops, android devices, and iOS devices for project purposes. Inappropriate usage of electronic devices will result in immediate disqualification. Chargers, power cables, multiplugs and additional accessories will NOT be provided.
● Participants must not display such projects which may disrupt the environment for others.
● Participants may use given threads, clips to hang posters and be extra careful not to use glue on campus infrastructure. Failure to take heed will result in immediate disqualification.
● Participants must bring their own power supply extension (multi-plug) if their project require electricity.
● Spot registration and digital registration for Project Display is not available.
Fees: Inter School & College participants can register for free. (Lunch fee per person 150 BDT)
For enrolled Josephites: Per person fee 200 /= BDT.
SCRAPBOOK DISPLAY

Rules & regulations
● Minimum Scrapbook page count must be more than 35 pages.
● Scrap book Must include an index page.
● Index must include the title of the page contents in each page.
● Pictures must be attached on the left page and writings must be on the right page.
● Pictures must include captions.
● Spiral binding Is not allowed.
● Most of the pages of the scrapbook must be covered with content.
● You must only use ‘Scrapbook’ titled copies to write your scrapbooks.
● You must write the scrapbooks with your own hands. Any outside involvements will result in disqualification and no marks will be added to your scrapbooks.
● ONLY students from St. Joseph Higher Secondary School are allowed to participate in this event.

● The questions will be in both Bengali and English.
● The time for each Olympiad will be limited to 45 minutes.
● Participants must bring their own equipment for the Olympiads. (Pens, pencils, calculators etc.)
● Cell Phones must be switched off during the exam.
● The authority reserves rights to seize or disqualify participants based on unethical conduct.

● Participants must submit their posters by the given Email address with their information. Participant name or identifying mark must not appear on the E-Poster; however, participants must write name, school name and contact number as text in the email.
● The poster should be in JPG, PNG, or PDF format. And participants must rename the file accordingly: name, class, name of institution, phone number.
● All E-Poster should be the original work of the participant. Any participant found violating rules and regulation will be disqualified from competition.

● Any type of watermark/personal branding is prohibited in any part of participants’ video.

Truss Challenge
How much stress can your truss endure?
Unleash your inner engineering maestro with the Scintilla Science Club's Truss Challenge! Craft a visually stunning and structurally robust truss. This competition is your chance to fuse creativity and innovation in a real-time test of engineering mettle. Engineer the Future!
Event Type: Solo/ Team (A team can consist maximum 3 members)
Allowed Academic Level: Class 9 – Class 12 (Inter School & College)
Note: Each member of a team does NOT have to be of the same class.
Rules and Regulations:
● Participants will be provided with enough popsicle sticks.
● All participants will be shown a demo and instructed on the venue.
● Participants must not bring any material/ tool of their own except for electronic devices and stationery (notebooks, pencil-pen etc.)
● Participants must bring every other item they need to use, e.g. Glue Gun, Glue sticks, scissors, anti-cutter etc.
● Participants will be allowed to do online research during the competition.
● A total of 3 hours will be given to build a specific structure.
● Participants must take responsibility of themselves while using the tools.
● Each successful machine will be scored via judges and their judgement would be the final say.
● Participants may seek advice from volunteers during the event, but they aren’t allowed to help physically.
● Online registration and spot registration are open for this event.
● The truss length should be within 38 cm to 42 cm.
● The width of the deck should be close to length of one standard popstick.
● Glue can be only used on joints. Excess glue cannot be used in a joint. If glue
is used anywhere else, points will be deducted.
● Overlapping (one stick over other) of two sticks is not allowed.
● The organizers will never be held responsible nor liable for any incidents or
accidents caused by participants’ teams or their equipment’s.
● For load testing, there must be a 2cm gap at mid-span in the bridge deck.

The exhibition features four main events: Line Following Robot, Robo War, Robo Soccer, and Cyberspace. The Line Following Robot event highlights the ability of robots to follow a designated path. Robots equipped with sensors follow a predetermined line, showcasing their precision and accuracy. The Robo War event is a battle between robots designed to demonstrate their strength and agility. The robots are equipped with various weapons and are pitted against each other in a fierce competition. The Robo Soccer event showcases the ability of robots to play soccer.
