About this Event
Science Under the Stars is a family-friendly introduction to astronomy, hosted every last Tuesday of the month at UBC.
Join us this month for our Astro 'Knowledge Bowl' Event! A beginner-friendly astronomy lecture hosted by our very own Outreach Team, followed by astronomy trivia where you can put your knowledge to the test for the chance to win a spectacular prize 👀, enjoy snacks and treats, and end the night with an observation session under the stars ✨
The UBC Astronomy Club and the Department of Physics and Astronomy invite you—and your friends and family—to an inspiring night of science, curiosity, and stargazing! All ages welcome!

Info: Tour the solar system and beyond as the UBC Astronomy Club's Outreach team explores introductory astronomy topics like planet and galaxy classifications, the fate of the Milky Way, and the cosmic web and CMB in their talk "An Introduction to Astronomy".

Info: Please note that the observation part of this event is entirely weather dependent. If weather permits, we will be viewing objects such as the Moon and Jupiter! To accommodate Hebb Rooftop capacity, the observation will be split into viewing groups and take turns. While you wait, partake in our Astro-themed social section!
