Experiment, discover and have fun at our monthly Science Club for ages 5-9. Explore the science behind light and colour. Make a test tube rainbow with skittles, mix light and shadow with filters, and create new colours with pen chromatography to take home. Things heat up for bonfire weekend – find out how firework paint stories across the sky and see sparkling flame demonstrations for an “ooh and ahh!”.Suitable for ages 5-9 (accompanied by an adult)
What is included in your ticket:
90 minute club session for one child and accompanying adult
Access to:
- Access to the woodland, Water Lab and outdoor areas from 10am–5pm (last entry 4.30pm)
- Parking (limited availability)
- Café 10am - 4pm
What is NOT included:
- Access to the Exploration Zone
Event Details
All Saturday Club sessions must be accompanied by an adult. These family workshops are designed for you and your child to learn from each other and work together while trying out new things. Led by our expert club leaders with bespoke activities designed to provide science-inspired fun challenges. There is a different theme each week so we and you are always learning something new!
Emira's Kitchen café at the Science Oxford Centre is open on Saturdays from 10am-4pm, serving hot and cold drinks, snacks and rolls. Families are welcome to bring picnics to eat at our lunch tables.

Suitable for ages 5-9 (accompanied by an adult)
£14 per club ticket (includes Eventbrite booking fee. Admits one child and accompanying adult.
£5 additional adult/s ticket admittance to Science Club and outside areas / café. A ll attendees need a ticket, for under 3’s we recommend the Family day instead .
If you cannot attend, you can request a refund or transfer your ticket to another day yourself via Eventbrite
