Valentine's day has come and gone and pretty soon we will be celebrating the vernal equinox. Spring is springing and love is in the air. But what did that look like for Neanderthals and Homo sapiens? What did interbreeding between our early ancestors look like?
Join data scientist, curator and spermatologist Dr. Molly Hirst and geneticist Dr. Susanna Gutierrez from the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, to explore the history behind this prehistoric pairing. Learn how studying contemporary hybridization in our distant primate relatives can shed light on prehistoric human evolution.
Hors d’oeuvres will be served at 5:30 p.m., and the program begins at 6:00 p.m.
Seating is limited—come early.
