Science: Across the disciplines Burnout: ... Unlocking the Stress Cycle
About this Event
Join us at Parkway Central Library, First Floor, Room 108 for a science film series!
This series will feature screenings and discussions of movies that explore how science is practiced across various disciplines and careers: whether it is through astronomy, investigative journalism, or botany and so forth. Film screenings will take place monthly from August 2026 - June 2027 and will be followed by a brief community discussion of film and science careers.
The film for June will be a documentary on the New York Times Bestseller book "Burnout: The Secret to Unlocking the Stress Cycle" (2023) written by Emily Nagoski, PhD in Health Behavior. This film centers on how we experience burnout differently, and will empower viewers with a simple, science-based plan to help minimize stress. We will discuss ways to reduce stress from our lives after the screening.
