Schools exclusive: Darwin200 Tour and Conservation Talks

DARWIN200 is a planetary conservation initiative which aims to change the world for the better. The historic tallship, Oosterschelde, is sailing around the world following Charles Darwin’s voyage aboard HMS Beagle two centuries ago. Darwin arrived in Sydney in 1836. His observations of Australia’s unique animals and plants helped to shape his Theory of Evolution by Natural Selection.

Using the ship as a floating laboratory and media platform, the voyage is harnessing the legacy of Charles Darwin’s passion for natural history to engage worldwide audiences and advance global conservation.

At this special one-off event for schools, high school students will hear from Darwin Leaders (young conservationists aged 18-30) talking about their research projects and go on board the DARWIN200 ship to explore this unique classroom.

Cost: This is a FREE event. Places are limited so register now. Registration includes complimentary access to the Australian National Maritime Museum.
