Wannabe rock star Dewey Finn has been kicked out of his band. Down to his last dollar, he becomes a substitute teacher at a prestigious prep school. Dewey's goal: turn his classically trained, straight-A students into guitar-shredding rockers who can win the Battle of the Bands, all without their parents or the school's headmistress finding out.
