About this Event

Hike Distance: 20km
Difficulty: Intermediate
Often hailed as "Brandenburg’s Wild South," this full-day trekking experience guides you along the entire iconic Schlaubetal Trail (Schlaubetal-Wanderweg), a 20-kilometer certified quality trail that winds through glacial valleys, pristine pine-oak woodlands, and serene lake chains.

Starting at Müllrose—the gateway town to the valley—you’ll follow the winding, crystal-clear Schlaube River upstream toward its origin near Lake Wirchensee. As you navigate forested ravines and unpaved waterside paths, you’ll discover the region’s rich industrial heritage, passing historic timber-framed watermills like Ragower Mühle, Bremsdorfer Mühle, and Kieselwitzer Mühle.

Surrounded by undisturbed wildlife, ancient trees, and quiet solitude, this hike offers the ultimate nature reset for urbanites looking to experience the full extent of Brandenburg’s premier hiking destination.

The hike will be led by tour guide and Lonely Planet author Daniel Cole.
