In 2021 Scheppel signed an exclusive multi-album deal with Universal Music Group and released his first single ‘Thunderstruck’. His acclaimed version of ‘Toe Vind Ek Jou’ was nominated for a SAMA for instrumental of the year and took the AITSA for best instrumental in 2022.
