Join us in making scent hearts for babies in the NICU, where every little bit of comfort matters. These heartfelt creations will be sent to Project Sweet Peas, where they will be given to both infants and their parents, helping to foster bonding and provide a sense of comfort through the familiar scent of a parent.Crafted from 100% cotton flannel, these scent hearts are designed to be worn close to the parents' skin, absorbing their unique scents. When placed next to the babies in the NICU, these hearts can soothe and nurture a sense of connection, even when parents can’t be right by their side. Each set includes two hearts, allowing for a swap as needed, ensuring that love and comfort are always close at hand.
We recommend that scent hearts measure approximately 5 inches by 5 inches. With just one yard of fabric, you can create about 16 hearts, each one a small but meaningful gesture of love and support.
When & Where:
Every other Thursday, in our Sacramento location.
Because these handmade items should be made in a clean, smoke‐free, pet‐free environment, we are asking participants to come in and use our fabric and supplies, to ensure these hearts are safely created and are able to be donated.
