ΠΛΥΦΑ — Αίθουσες 7Α & 7Γ
Το πρώτο SCENIUS SOUND φέρνει στην ΠΛΥΦΑ μια ολόκληρη ημέρα πειραματικής και αυτοσχεδιαστικής μουσικής, live performance και εικαστικής τέχνης.
Δύο σκηνές. Ένα ενιαίο εισιτήριο. Μια διαδρομή ανάμεσα στη διεθνή avant-garde και τη σύγχρονη σκηνή της Αθήνας.
Η διαδρομή αρχίζει στη Σκηνή 7Γ, με νέα σχήματα, καταξιωμένους μουσικούς και συνεργασίες από τη σύγχρονη πειραματική και αυτοσχεδιαστική σκηνή της Αθήνας.
Στη συνέχεια, το κοινό μετακινείται στην Κεντρική Σκηνή της Αίθουσας 7Α για τρεις διαφορετικές μουσικές συναντήσεις. Στο φουαγιέ, η μουσική συναντά τη ζωντανή εικαστική δημιουργία του Vincent de Boer. Η βραδιά επιστρέφει στη 7Γ για το STOMA — Lie-Down Concert και ένα διαφορετικό κλείσιμο.
THE MESSTHETICS & JAMES BRANDON LEWIS
Οι The Messthetics & James Brandon Lewis έρχονται για πρώτη φορά στην Αθήνα και χαιρόμαστε ιδιαίτερα που τους υποδεχόμαστε στο πρώτο SCENIUS SOUND.
Ο Joe Lally στο μπάσο και ο Brendan Canty στα ντραμς —το rhythm section των θρυλικών Fugazi— συμπράττουν με τον Anthony Pirog στην κιθάρα και τον James Brandon Lewis στο τενόρο σαξόφωνο. Μαζί ενώνουν την ενέργεια του post-hardcore με την jazz, τον αυτοσχεδιασμό και τον πειραματικό ήχο.

Οι Ingrid Laubrock, Tom Rainey, Jannis Anastasakis και Giuseppe Doronzo σχηματίζουν ένα νέο κουαρτέτο ειδικά για το SCENIUS SOUND 001. Σαξόφωνα, τύμπανα και ηλεκτρονικά κινούνται ελεύθερα ανάμεσα στη σύνθεση και τον αυτοσχεδιασμό.

Ένα νέο τρίο που συνδέει την κρητική μουσική παράδοση με τον αυτοσχεδιασμό και τις σύγχρονες προσεγγίσεις στον ρυθμό και τον ήχο.

Οι Fausto Sierakowski, Δημήτρης Κλωνής και Γιάννης Αναστασάκης παρουσιάζουν μία ακόμη νέα συνεργασία στη Σκηνή 7Γ.
INK & SOUND — VINCENT DE BOER
Ο Ολλανδός εικαστικός και καλλιγράφος Vincent de Boer, γνωστός ως το ανεπίσημο πέμπτο και μοναδικό μη μουσικό μέλος των Ill Considered, έχει διαμορφώσει τη χαρακτηριστική εικαστική ταυτότητα και τα ζωγραφισμένα στο χέρι εξώφυλλα του συγκροτήματος.
Στο The Stroke αντέστρεψε τη συνήθη σχέση εικόνας και μουσικής, δημιουργώντας ένα χειροποίητο animation 4.056 σχεδίων, πάνω στο οποίο οι Ill Considered αυτοσχεδίασαν. Στο φουαγιέ της 7Α μεταφράζει ζωντανά τον ρυθμό, την κίνηση και τον ήχο σε γραμμές, χειρονομίες και εικόνες.
STOMA — LIE-DOWN CONCERT
Η βραδιά επιστρέφει στη Σκηνή 7Γ για ένα διαφορετικό κλείσιμο. Οι STOMA προτείνουν μια performance σχεδιασμένη για ακρόαση σε οριζόντια θέση. Η πρόσβαση θα γίνεται με σειρά προτεραιότητας, βάσει της χωρητικότητας της αίθουσας.

PLYFA — Halls 7A & 7G
The first SCENIUS SOUND brings a full day of experimental and improvised music, live performance and visual art to PLYFA.
Two stages. One ticket. A journey between the international avant-garde and Athens’ contemporary music scene.
THE JOURNEY
The journey begins on Stage 7G with new formations, established musicians and collaborations from Athens’ contemporary experimental and improvised music scene.
The audience then moves to the Main Stage in Hall 7A for three distinct musical encounters, bringing international artists into dialogue with musicians from Athens.
In the foyer of Hall 7A, music meets the live visual practice of Vincent de Boer. The programme later returns to Stage 7G for STOMA — Lie-Down Concert and a different kind of closing.
THE MESSTHETICS & JAMES BRANDON LEWIS
The Messthetics & James Brandon Lewis make their first appearance in Athens, and we are delighted to welcome them to the first SCENIUS SOUND.
Joe Lally on bass and Brendan Canty on drums — the rhythm section of the legendary Fugazi — join Anthony Pirog on guitar and James Brandon Lewis on tenor saxophone. Together, they connect the energy of post-hardcore with jazz, improvisation and experimental sound.

A new trio connecting Cretan musical traditions with improvisation and contemporary approaches to rhythm and sound.

INK & SOUND — VINCENT DE BOER
Dutch visual artist and calligrapher Vincent de Boer, widely regarded as the unofficial fifth —and only non-musical— member of Ill Considered, has shaped the band’s distinctive visual identity and hand-painted record covers.
For The Stroke, he reversed the usual relationship between image and music, creating a hand-drawn animation of 4,056 drawings to which Ill Considered improvised. In the foyer of Hall 7A, he translates rhythm, movement and sound live into lines, gestures and images.
STOMA — LIE-DOWN CONCERT
The night returns to Stage 7G for a different kind of closing. STOMA present a performance designed to be heard lying down. Access will be on a first-come, first-served basis, subject to the capacity of the hall.
