Experience the beauty of Kentucky in spring with a scenic train ride through the heart of horse country! As we journey through rolling fields, you might spot mares and their playful foals, making for a truly picturesque adventure.Departure Times:
Boarding begins 30 minutes before the posted departure time to ensure all passengers are seated and ready to leave on schedule. Arrive early to explore our historic museum, interactive model railroads, and fascinating on-ground displays.
Seating Options:
Select the experience that suits you best:
Coach Class Cars – Commuter-style bench seats with windows that can be opened
First Class Cars – Enjoy padded seats and climate-controlled comfort.
All passengers will enjoy a 90-minute journey filled with history, great scenery, and interesting commentary.
Scenic Stop at Young’s High Bridge:
Midway through the ride, we’ll pause for a short break so you can step off and walk to the edge of Young’s High Bridge, offering breathtaking views of the Kentucky River Palisades.
Accessibility:
Due to the historic design of our railcars, passengers using standard-sized wheelchairs can be accommodated only in our Coach Class cars. Passengers using walkers or canes may ride in any car.
Restrooms:
Please note that while restrooms are available at the museum station, there are NO restroom facilities onboard the train.
Parking:
Once you get to the museum, cross the railroad crossing and then turn left where you will find a large parking lot with plenty of spaces.
Ticket Prices:
Coach Class: Adults $15, Children (2-12) $13
First Class: Adults $20, Children (2-12) $18
Cab Ride: $75 (limited to two riders, who must be able to board and exit the locomotive unassisted)
