IMPROVE YOUR VOCAL TECHNIQUE, PERFORMANCE AND THE HEALTH OF YOUR VOICE!
Join us for a HANDS ON, FULL DAY of total Vocal Exploration as we explore rhythmic, melodic and harmonic dexterity of the different forms of vocal improvisation. We will journey through scatting, riffs, rolls, ad libs and other forms of vocal improv in the following musical forms:
- Blues and Jazz
- Gospel
- Rock and Pop
- R&B and Soul
- World Music
- Hip Hop
- Avante Garde
Dr. Owen Brown Jr. has worked as a Voice Expert and Naturopath to some of the biggest names in music and has performed with many musical giants for decades around the globe including Mary J. Blige, Jill Scott, Teddy Pendergrass, Lil Kim, City High, Chic, Mario, Kindred and Others. He's helped develop talent for the most powerful record labels in the world including SONY, J Records, Arista, BMG, Atlantic, Philadelphia International, Mercury, Death Row, Interscope and others.
Dr. Brown specializes in improving volume issues, diction, fitness, nutrition, and vocal health challenges including sore throats, vocal nodules, vocal changes due to routine and atypical physical changes, overuse injuries and more.
A vocal technique revisionist, Dr. Brown has rewritten the traditional vocal technical manual and simplified the process of developing vocal excellence. Key focus areas include: mastering difficult musical phrases, stylistic performance, recording assistance, tour preparation, improvisation and intonation.

A portion of the proceeds will benefit , a non profit organization which assists Jazz and Blues musicians living in the Greater Philadelphia Metro area who face financial, health, housing and similar crisis.
