Scaredy's working the late shift at the cinema. Tonight's schedule? The horror-movie sexual awakenings of yesteryear.The multi-award winning company behind Fringe Hit Two Fingers Up are delighted to present their second show Scaredy Fat, a camp coming of age comedy, by Colm McCready as part of the Grand Opera House Studio Series and Belfast Pride 2024.
Stuffed with steamy recollections of Carrie and Candyman, Scaredy should be in ecstasy but evil horror host Count Calories keeps cutting in on the fun. It's time for Scaredy to face their fears and stop being such a big Scaredy Fat.
Come to the movies with Scaredy as they poke fun at fat and queer representation in the horror genre, asking what it means to love a genre that doesn't love you back.

Scaredy Fat is making its debut at the Grand Opera House following a smash-hit run at Edinburgh and Dublin Fringe. The show is the winner of the LET Award 2023, Lyric Pleasance Award 2023, CQAF Theatre Award 2023 and was nominated for an OffFest Award 2023, Best Performer at Dublin Fringe, Spirit of Wit at Dublin Fringe, First Fortnight at Dublin Fringe and Radical Spirit Award at Dublin Fringe.
