Scarborough RT Farewell Food Tour - Walking

Are you a resident of Toronto or Scarborough and interested in taking one last ride on the Scarborough RT? As the first major TTC line scheduled for decommissioning it has a rich history to explore. Join us for a memorable walking & transit tour where we'll not only savor a diverse range of delicious food from restaurants along the RT, but also learn about what the future holds for nearby communities. All profits from the tour will go towards the food bank Feed Scarborough.

Cost: Minimum $20 donation or $18 per person group discount with 3 or more people

How the tour works:

1. Meeting Point: Outside Thai Takeout & Catering by Kennedy Station. Look for me wearing a bright orange high-visibility vest
2. Quick bite then a short Walk to Kennedy Station
3. RT Ride: Kennedy Station to Lawrence East Station
4. Explore Historic Restaurants: We'll visit carefully selected historic restaurants, each with its own unique story and dish.
5. Picnic in Thompson Park: We'll end at a charming picnic spot, that is the birthplace of Scarborough and enjoy in the flavors of additional restaurants located further along the RT corridor.
6. Wrap Up: Our volunteers will help direct you to your return journey to Kennedy Station.

Expect a moderate amount of walking

• Presto card/Transit Tickets
• Drinking water reusable bottle
• Sun protection
• Appropriate footwear for walking
• *Optional* Small Tupperware if you would like to take any left overs home
