Scamproof: Deepfakes, AI Fraud & Digital Self-Defence
About this Event
That call from your “Bank manager” may not be real. It could be AI.
Scams are becoming more convincing. With AI-generated voices, deepfake videos, fake messages, and voice cloning, scammers can now create content that looks and sounds remarkably real.
But staying safe does not mean becoming a technology expert.
This practical digital safety and AI scam awareness workshop helps you understand how modern scams work, what makes them convincing, and what you can do to protect yourself and the people around you.
Using clear explanations, real-world examples, and practical scenarios, you will learn how to spot suspicious calls, messages, videos, and online interactions, respond without panic, and reduce your risk of falling victim to AI-powered fraud.
The focus is simple: know what to look for, know what to do, and know when to stop and check.

- Protect your family: Learn practical ways to help children, parents, grandparents, and other vulnerable family members recognise and respond to scams.

Good to know
No technical background is required. No AI experience is required.
This is a practical AI safety, scam awareness, and digital self-defence workshop designed for everyday people. You do not need to understand how AI works behind the scenes. The focus is on recognising risks, making safer decisions, and knowing what to do when something seems suspicious.
Bring your questions, your curiosity, and a willingness to learn. The goal is not to make you afraid of technology, but to help you feel more confident using it safely.
