SCA Barista Skills Foundations is the perfect opportunity to kickstart your journey in the world of Specialty Coffee. Join us at 2902 Gilroy St for a hands-on experience where you'll learn the essential skills every barista needs. Whether you're a coffee enthusiast looking to up your game or considering a career in the industry, this event is for you. Don't miss out on this chance to master the art of pulling the perfect espresso!

The SCA Barista Foundations course helps you gain the practical skills you need behind the espresso bar.

You'll learn:

• Technique of espresso making
• Workflow behind the bar
• Dialing in your grinder and troubleshooting
• Milks steaming techniques
• Building basic espresso based drinks
• Cleaning the equipment
• Health & Safety
• Customer Service

Class is 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM, we'll take a lunch break in the middle of the session.

Foundations Level (One-Day Course) The foundations level is perfect for beginners and requires no prior experience. The foundation level provides a first taste of the Barista discipline and is a great way to get insight into the skills required of a barista.

You'll recieve the link for online written test after attending the lab. SCA Certificate will be issued to those students who pass the test.
