SBCC's Monday Madness at the SOhO

SBCC’s Monday Madness Jazz Orchestra is back at the SOhO for its final performance of the year! Santa Barbara City College has always been the home of this band since its formation by instructor Dr. Charles Wood in 1988. The band celebrates the instrumental jazz music of the greats like Count Basie, Thad Jones, Stan Kenton, Duke Ellington, Maynard Ferguson & Buddy Rich, as well as modern groups like The WDR Big Band, The Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, The Airmen of Note, The Alan Baylock Jazz Orchestra, and the University of North Texas One O’clock Lab Band. The band is currently led by saxophonist Andrew Martinez. Band members consist of local professionals and music educators.
