SBA Dance Masterclass Series 2026

A five-day dance intensive designed to develop students’ technique, artistry and performance skills through ballet and beyond.
About this Event

Led by SBA Principal Mr Han Kee Juan, with SBA faculty and guest instructors, the programme invites students to train, create and perform this December.

Open to students at RAD Grade 2 and above, or at an equivalent level, the programme combines daily ballet and repertoire with jazz or contemporary according to level.

Inspired by The Nutcracker, this year’s ballet repertoire classes will feature original choreography set to music from the festive classic.

The week culminates in a workshop showing on the final evening. Participants and their families may also join an optional group excursion on 12 December to attend Singapore Ballet’s production of The Nutcracker.

Registration closes on 26 November 2026 at 12pm, or earlier when places are filled.

An information pack on what to prepare for the workshop will be emailed to participants in November 2026.

There will be a daily lunch break. Students may opt for a catered lunch under Optional Add-Ons. Those with special dietary requirements are advised to bring their own meals and snacks.

As each student’s details are collected during registration, please register one participant at a time.

OPTIONAL PERFORMANCE EXCURSION

Date: Saturday, 12 December 2026

Time: 8pm

Venue: Esplanade Theatre

This performance excursion is accompanied by SBA staff and it is open to all workshop participants and family members.

Tickets are $69 for Category 1 seats after the SBA discount, excluding tax and processing fees (usual price: $99).

Important: Ticket collection will be available on the actual day at the venue. More information will be shared in November 2026. Theatre admission is for age 4 and above.

1. Cancellation & Refund

Workshop fees are non-refundable once registration is confirmed. For cancellations due to medical reasons, a partial refund may be considered on a case-by-case basis upon submission of a medical report to SBA.

2. Photography & Videography

SBA may take photographs and video recordings throughout the workshop for publication, publicity and marketing purposes. By registering, participants, or their parents or guardians where applicable, consent to their use.

3. Liability

Singapore Ballet Academy will take all reasonable care to ensure the safety and wellbeing of participants during the workshop. By completing the registration, parents or legal guardians acknowledge the risks associated with participation. To the extent permitted by law, Singapore Ballet Academy will not be liable for any personal injury, death, or loss of or damage to personal belongings sustained during the workshop.
